Friday Favorites

Good morning! Happy Friday. While everyone is gearing up for the weekend, I have two full days of work looming in front of me. To get involved with the Friday Cheer, I’ve decided to start sharing things that have made me happy this week. They may be running involved, or have absolutely nothing to do with it whatsoever.

Let’s see what’s tickled my fancy this week!

This arm workout. Holy moly I love it so much. I found it on Pinterest, pinned it, and was pretty skeptical, since most of the workout stuff I find on Pinterest is pretty lame. This, however, is a KILLER arm workout. It’s only ten minutes long, so there’s no excuse not to do the whole thing. It switches between 5lb and 3lb free weights (I use 2.5 since that’s what we have at the house) and by the time you want to give up and cry….it’s over.

Speed workI introduced speed work back into my routine this week and while it made me want to puke, it’s good to feel that way again. More on that on Monday.

New gear. Last week was a cruel reminder that cold weather is upon us (trying desperately to avoid the obvious “Game of Thrones” joke). So with that in mind (and a look at my sad amount of cold weather running clothes), I took the plunge and bought some gear from Oiselle*. I had been oogling the new Portman Pant since I saw them post it on their Instagram weeeeeeks ago. The detailing is awesome and so fun for a pair of running tights. And the green color! I mean, who doesn’t want gear in a color other than black. I also bought the Wazelle Long Sleeve...in black…(I needed a neutral to match my new green pants!)

I immediately put them on when I got home last night and saw they arrived. They are amazing and I may live in them from here on out.

The leaves changing. And for that matter, just being outside right now. I took Rudy for a nice long walk through the woods on Monday and it was glorious. Flagstaff and Sedona are so, so pretty right now. I love seeing all the changing colors in town and when I’m driving down the canyon. I’m desperate for a hike to the Inner Basin.

I want to go to there.

I hope you all had a great week and have a fabulous weekend!

Tell me. What things made you happy this week?

*No affiliate links. I just really like Oiselle’s gear.
